On November 2, several members of Dunton Rainville’s Sherbrooke team took part in the Fondation des Amis de Jean-François Cocktail Dinatoire held at Place des Arts in Montréal.
The Fondation des Amis de Jean-François was created in 1994 following the death of the brother of Me Julien Dubois, a lawyer in the Sherbrooke office, when he was 5 years old. Since then, and thanks to the hard work of Me Dubois’ parents, the Foundation has raised over $1.2 million to contribute to research, the purchase of equipment and the improvement of the quality of care dedicated to children.
As of this year, the Foundation has entered into a partnership with Le Phare, Enfants et Familles, so that all funds raised during the Cocktail Dinatoire and through other donations will be donated to this organization. Le Phare, Enfants et Familles is a unique pediatric palliative care resource in Québec, dedicated to children with life-limiting illnesses and to supporting their loved ones during this painful process.
The Fondation des Amis de Jean-François is deeply grateful to the members of the Sherbrooke team who helped make the Cocktail Dinatoire 2023 a resounding success, enabling the Foundation to fulfill its mission year after year.
