Marc-Alexandre Girard

Marc-Alexandre Girard practices in labour law, municipal law and access to information.

Mr. Girard intervenes and advises his clients in provincial and federal matters concerning the application of various labour laws. In this capacity, Mr. Girard regularly acts in dismissal and grievance arbitration cases. He also advises clients on the day-to-day management of their labor relations, and participates in the negotiation of collective agreements.

Mr. Girard also acts on behalf of companies and municipalities in various types of cases relating to the application of municipal legislation.

In the course of his career, Mr. Girard has frequently acted in access to information cases involving public bodies.

Mr. Girard’s practice has led him to plead before various bodies, including the Federal Court of Appeal, the Quebec Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, the Superior Court, the Tribunal administratif du travail, the Tribunal administratif du Québec, the Commission d’accès à l’information, the Commission municipale du Québec, as well as provincial and federal labour arbitration tribunals.

Mr. Girard has also written several articles and acted as a lecturer.
